In Tanzania, nearly half the population is under the age of 15, yet many children grow up facing enormous challenges. Poverty, limited access to education, and difficult living conditions often force children to take on responsibilities far beyond their years. Some spend long days helping their families work, care for animals, or provide for younger siblings.

But through Bible League’s ministry, children are discovering something life-changing: hope through God’s Word.
Across Tanzania, Project Philip Children’s Program is helping children learn about Jesus in a simple, personal, and joyful way. Local believers gather children together in schools, churches, and villages where they sing songs, hear Bible stories, pray together, and discover God’s love. For many children, these groups become a safe place where they are encouraged, valued, and reminded that they are deeply loved by God.
Many children attending the groups have never owned a Bible before. At the end of the program, receiving their own Bible often becomes one of the most memorable moments of their lives. Celebrations are filled with singing, dancing, and excitement as children hold God’s Word in their hands for the very first time.

Bible League is also finding creative ways to reach young people in Tanzania. In some communities, football tournaments are combined with Bible study groups, helping teenagers build friendships while engaging with Scripture. Local teachers have even noticed positive changes in behaviour, school attendance, and confidence among participating students.
Through local churches and trained Bible study leaders, children across Tanzania are discovering that their future is not defined by hardship or poverty—but by the hope found in Jesus Christ.
